So sad was right on the money. Remember when Gold Toe was the best sock you could buy. Beware the ads that say cotton now - they are at best 60% cotton. So sad, yes indeed, and you can keep them.

Gold Toe used to make these socks with 100% pima-no nylon, no spandex. They were THE BEST SOCKS EVER! They fit beautifully and lasted and lasted. I have tried every other 100% cotton sock made, and nothing comes close. These new versions are just OK. No good for our hot humid summers, and so I don't buy them any more. I would pay twice the price for the old 100% pima cotton variety.
