  1. Over the calf

Posted by Unknown on 30th Mar 2014

Where are the wool over the calf dress socks? Would be 5 stars if over the calf

  2. willing to pay more

Posted by steve on 17th Mar 2014

The windsor wool mid-calf socks of the 1980's were the best. High wool content, some nylon for durability and a little spandex to keep their shape so that the shoes did not 'eat' the socks., The overall quality has declined since then. There are those of us who have been spoiled by the old socks and would gladly pay a higher fair price for them again.
In these days of mediocre goods, it would be a pleasure to find good stuff, even if it cost more

  3. Ditto on "bring back Windsor OTCs" in std colors

Posted by george r on 17th Feb 2014

My rating only applies to the Windsor Wool OTC socks

it's the only dress gold toe that I like

  4. Where did the wool go?

Posted by Unknown on 31st Jan 2014

Fifty percent nylon? Really? Piling. So high after first wash that it would be a thirty yard penalty. After thirty-five years, I'm where the wool is - gone.

  5. Wearability and style

Posted by Andre from Massachusetts on 9th Jan 2014

These were great sox at one point but the reduction in wool content has made them less attractive to the point I will no longer purchase them. For those that do not mine only 50% wool finding them at retail stores is near impossible.

  6. OTC Windsor for size 13 Shoe

Posted by Karen Brames on 17th Dec 2013

Cannot find OTC Windsor Wool socks in Macy' or Dillard's in the Tampa Bay Area for a shoe size of 13. Help!

  7. lasts years

Posted by Unknown on 7th Dec 2013

I have one pair of these socks that i bought in 1962 and they are still as fresh as the day I bought them. I'm looking for another color since my black ones are getting a little faded although I don't wash them that often.

  8. The decline of Windsor Wool continues

Posted by Unknown on 5th Dec 2013

The decline of this (once) great product continues. From what I can tell it started in 2007-2008 and with every revision gets worse.

Wool content is down to 50% (from 56%) and pilling is getting much worse. I don't know if this is a result of the 'Freshcare® Moisture Management' system of the drop in percentage of wool.

Irregardless, unless Goldtoe fixes this, I am through with your products.

  9. Windsor Wool OTC

Posted by Unknown on 2nd Dec 2013

My husband has worn your socks for years and we have bought them by the dozen, but can't find the really dark charcoal grey you used to carry! The ones I've seen are more a medium grey..will you have the really dark greys again?????
These are the best socks made....

  10. Serious Quality Change

Posted by Unknown on 13th Oct 2013

I have worn and loved windsor wool OTC Gold Toes for a few years now. I originally bought navy and grey. The navy had serious pilling issues after only one wash. The grey remained smooth and great looking wash after wash. I recently ordered six new pairs in grey expecting them to be of the same fabric as those I still wear. Unfortunately something has changed in the fabric composition and the new grey pairs came out of the first wash severely pilled up just like the navy pairs I have owned. Nothing is more frustrating than a change in quality of a product you depend on. I guess I will have to find option for OTC dress socks.
