  1. No more mid-calf

Posted by Bill on 13th Mar 2013

I agree with all the writers below. It is a great pity that a sock that I've worn for 30 years is discontinued for no obvious reason.

  2. Where's the Windsor Wool Mid Calf?

Posted by Lou on 10th Feb 2013

    GoldToe.com Response:

Hi Lou, We no longer offer the 1446M. We do offer 3 socks in a Mid Calf. You can find them at the link below. They are the Fluffie, The Metropolitan, and the Canterbury. We hope you will give one a try. Please contact us through Customer Service and we'll send a sample to see if you like one. http://www.goldtoe.com/categories/GoldToe/Men/Socks/Silhouette/Mid-Calf/

I've gone to the trouble of keeping a label from socks I've purchased from you (Style 1446M) so that I know specifically what to order because I liked them, and it's all I wear. The last 3-pair set was made of less wool (53% wool, 46% nylon) than previously (65% wool, 35% nylon). Now, as far as I can tell, you've stopped offering the 1446M. Stores long ago seemed to stop carrying the 1446M, and now you! Yes, like the previous writer, it makes me angry. Yes, anger. It shows you how important the right dress socks can be to a man.

  3. Bring back the mid calf Windsor Wool!!!

Posted by Unknown on 8th Feb 2013

I can't imagine why you don't offer the former mid calf Windsor Wool! I used to buy them by the dozens. Bring them back!!

  4. What happened to crew?

Posted by Andrew on 8th Jan 2013

Well, I just got a set of mid-calf when I wanted crew! The number matches from this page (1446S, supposedly for crew, approx 7" from end bottom of heel to top, according to the crew pages), but they come to my mid-calf (my legs are long; I'm 6' tall) and are approx 13" from bottom of heel to top). I'll be returning them, so perhaps one of you who wants mid-calf should try again.

Please return the socks per our return policy. Contact GTMCSR@Gildan.com for a return label. We will test the length to see if this is an anomaly. Thank you

  5. WHERE are the old WINDSOR WOOL SOCKS!

Posted by Unknown on 7th Jan 2013

Why would your marketing people make such a BLUNDER?? Why change a WINNER. The old WW Mid Calf were the Best!

  6. Why Did You Change Them?

Posted by Bruce on 7th Jan 2013

Windsor Wool socks were the best for so long, and then---poof--they change them, making the tops more restrictive and less comfortable. It's the same old story, they've got it right and then they fumble it away due to their own stupidity...

  10. To Marketing

Posted by Ken Riggs on 22nd Nov 2012

I too have worn Windsor Wool for years. It is "5" product with with one reservation. I remember the days of Navy Heather and lighter shades of blue and brown. One cannot tell the difference between the current Black and Navy unless they are side by side. I would suggest lightening the Navy and Brown. Cotton socks are not an option for me.
