My husband is a diabetic and the socks are the best we've ever found. Gold Toe told me they were discontinuing this sock so we can't get the 13-16 size anymore. I wish they would reconsider.

I had all but given up finding crew socks that would fit around my heavy legs. These not only fit comfortably around my leg but they don't slouch or roll down at the top nor do they slide down into my shoes. I am so glad I found them. Despite their shortcomings, I have bought a lifetime supply.
The first shortcoming is that they are iffy in a washing machine. The first wash of my first pair (cold water, air dry) left them pilled and looking like they were a year old. I will put the next batch in a lingerie bag to see if that mitigates the problem or perhaps wash them by hand.
The second is size. I have a big foot to go with my big leg. I wear a size 9W women's shoe. That's equivalent to a men's 7 1/2. I bought the socks in size 4-8, which is what was recommended for women. The sock is nearly an inch too long. The tips of my toes come only to the gold line on the sock. I am able to distribute the slack well enough to avoid wrinkles and am still very high on this sock, but I would not think it suitable for more typically sized women.

Being a diabetic I have looked far and wide for a great pair of socks and wasted a lot of money. A Friend told me about this website I ordered only 2 pair for a start and I was soon back and bought many pairs and colors. I will tell you to wash and dry them on low heat.
When you put these sock on and pull them up they will stay all day and no rings on your legs. Honestly you can spend more more money but you cannot find a better fitting or higher quality sock.
