Over the past year, the sloppy boot socks begin to unravel after only
one "delicate" washing and line drying. Then when you wear them, the socks "roll" down from the top, making a bulge under slacks. I have oatmeal sloppy boot socks that are probably 4-5 years old and the tops are great! The way these Gold Toe socks are now, is that what one should expect from Gold Toe now?

Based on the recent reviews about the quality of these socks having gone down, I purchased some pairs of another brand. They were terrible, toes unraveling, white elastic sticking out around the top, costing about twice as much as these and worth nothing after one washing. I am RUSHING back to order Gold Toe Sloppy Boot Socks and am so grateful I still can. I've gotten lots of wear out of the pairs I have. Actually the brown and loden colors seem to hold up best of all, heel-wise.

I have been wearing these sloppy boot socks for years. Only kind I will wear but I have noticed lately that the quality of the sock is deteriorating. When a person pays this much money for a pair of socks they expect quality and the ability to wear them more than 2 or 3 times. THe heels wear out of mine so quickly. This never happened before. Willing to pay for good socks but I will need to find me another brand that might last a while long. You need to take a look at how they are being made as they really are badly made.

I am very picky as to what I put on my feet. I used to think it was just shoes and boots yet now what I find was supposed to be a quality sock quite simply is not.

I've been wearing these for many, many years, my FAVORITE socks all year round. But in the last year, they are NOT THE SAME! They are too tight, hard to pull on. The top elastic comes apart. I've been trying to find a substitute with another brand, as GOLD TOE has abandoned their standard of excellence. Will they listen to these reviews and revert?

Been wearing these socks for years. I agree, they must have a new manufacturer because they aren't as great as they used to be. Something off with quality control. Received 7 pair and the shaft of the sock was longer on some than others and foot size different on some. Very strange. Lined the socks up side by side on the table and the variance in size and length of the top was blatant. Still, very hard to find slouch socks of quality anywhere else. Why can't we have NAVY or RED? Even the men get cinnamon colored socks... and we get Loden????

I bought these socks to wear with boots in the winter. They are nice and thick and keep the cold out. They also help keep my boots nice and tight around my feet. I have plantar fascitis and need thicker socks with my orthotics and these definitely do the job. I just wish I could find them in the local stores. Navy would be great but since they're hidden under my pants and boots, I can make due with the denim. $7 for one pair is a little much so I wait until I see them on sale but I generally don't mind paying a little more for quality. I have not had the problem of them slipping down during the day or the tops unraveling and have worn them frequently this winter. They've held up great in the washer and dryer.

I love these socks. Find it difficult to find in stores but now that I have found them on line I am a happy camper. I Love, Love, Love them!

These are my favorite socks, especially in cold weather. They hold up pretty well, and the slouch keeps the cold air out. I do wish they came in navy.

Isn't is amazing how with one wearing your womens sloppy socks just roll right down because the tops totally unravel. Maybe that is the way they are suppose to be??? How is it that the men's socks don't become wavy at that top. The women's socks couldn't be made in the Good Ole USA I would hope. They are really pathetic.
