I agree with what so many others have written here. The quality of Gold Toe socks is not the same as before, and I've worn them for over 30 years. The material is thin, the elastic is flimsy - they're just not the same as before. And what happened to the over-the-calf fluffies? Gold Toe should go back to what they were before.

I have worn these for many years and they were the most comfortable socks on the market. I am disappointed in the new and improved version. Until they return to the old and lousy, I am taking my business elsewhere!

I mirror the other reviews - I have worn Gold Toe for over 30 years - no more - the quality is no longer 'first class'.

As others have stated, the China made socks are much thinner and of far poorer quality.Frankly this is a disgrace, that the company should try and pass off a much inferior product onto loyal customers.Like another poster...I'm now an ex-customer.

I've also worn Goldtoe crew socks forever. Based on these reviews, I'll take a pass this time and look for another brand

Bought fluffies for years, 20+. Last batch I purchased from JCPENNY as usual, are the poorest made junk I have ever experienced. Much thinner and the elastic does not hold the sock up! Noticed they are now made in China not the USA. Gold toe has lost me as a customer. I reported the change in qaulity so hopefully they don't lose anymore customers. Buyer's beware. Wish I had read reviews before buying more of their product.

I have worn gold toe socks for over 30 years. The last purchase of fluffies was such a mistake. They were much thinner and very poor qaulity. I would rather pay more and get the same qaulity I have experienced for years! I noticed they are made in China but so are the socks I replaced them with. Van Huesen and Raplh Laurent are made in China but have the same qaulity Gold toe use to have. Big mistake to sacrafice qaulity for more profit. You have lost a loyal customer, so sad!

I am a long time user of gold toes. My most recent purchase was very disappointing. Loose threading, odd sizes (some are 2" shorter that the others), and a much thinner material. Made in China, means poor quality and no sale in this case. Even though I have washed them I will be taking them back and finding a new product

Gold Toe, I have memories as a young girl of my father getting dressed, in a suit, for work. The only socks he ever bought were Gold Toe. I, myself, have many pairs, which are wearing out. After reading all of these reviews, I'll wait until you bring back the manufacturing to the USA. Such a shame.

I bought a few dozen pair of black fluffies 5 1/2 years ago. Now i need to replace them (yes they lasted 5 1/2 years). I would pay tripple for the originals. I'm extremely serious!!! Thanks for the heads up on the change to China made.
