I have Adam's Rib socks that I bought in 1982 that are still like brand new until this day. I call them the "steel belted sock" because they are ridiculously durable. I have not bought replacements of Adam's Rib for years because I could not find them. A previous review said they are not manufactured the same any longer, and are made in China, and are not as good. That would be a pity.

These socks are fine if you're OK with replacing them after wearing them 2 or 3 times. They look and feel great at first but the thin weave doesn't hold up and they become somewhat transparent after just a few laundry cycles. The heel/toe sections are not reinforced so holes and worn spots show up too early.

I have worn these socks for years and they were without a doubt the most comfortable, attractive socks I had UNTIL GoldToe decided to change the manufacturing from Korea to China and added the spandex.
Now the socks uncomfortable on the foot and at the knee. I am completely unhappy with the new version of this sock which happened about a year ago.
Too bad Gold Toe had to mess with a good thing!
