Do Support Socks Work?
Yes. Support socks massage tired, achy legs and firm support styles help improve circulation. They typically feature graduated compression that is greatest at the ankle and gradually decreases up the leg.
Clinical studies have long proven that controlled, graduated compression applied to legs and feet accelerates the velocity at which the blood is forced to flow through the deeper veins. Higher blood flow velocity helps to relieve symptoms associated with venous disorders. The most sensible, least invasive approach to compression therapy is to wear graduated compression hosiery.
